Zooey Falls for 'Tin Man'
New 'Wizard of Oz'-style miniseries set for Sci-Fi
I traditionally don't report on TV deals, but this is for ROS writer Laremy Legel as he has a disturbing infatuation for Zooey Deschanel. Honestly, his infatuation scares me, but that is better left reserved for the biography I am writing.
As for this news, Zooey is set to star in Tin Man for the SCI-FI channel. Deschanel will play DG, a young woman — think Dorothy — who finds herself transported from her dull life into the O.Z. (Outer Zone), a fantasy-filled world of wonder that's also plagued by dark magic. She'll star opposite Alan Cumming, previously cast as the Scarecrow-like character of Glitch.
The production is set to hit the small screen winter 2007. The six-hour production begins lensing next month in Vancouver for a December premiere.
