Zellweger Chills with Connick Jr. in 'Miami'
They got a Dane to direct
You know what's weird? It is so hard to type Connick without Connick Jr. Why is that? Does Harry have a psychological hold over my keyboard? Anyway, Harry Connick Jr. and Renee Zellweger are set to star in Chilled in Miami for Danish writer-director Jonas Elmer.
The pic was written by Ken Rance and C. Jay Cox and centers on a Miami businesswoman who's transferred to the sticks of Minnesota.
The film actually used to be called 32 and Single and even back in March of 2004 Gabrielle Union was supposed to star when the film was at Universal Pictures. Back then the story was of a New York businesswoman on the corporate fast track who has to earn her stripes by going to New Ulm, Minn., to oversee the closing of a factory. She ends up re-evaluating her big-city values in a fish-out-of-water tale.
Shooting on Chilled in Miami is scheduled to begin in January in Miami and Winnepeg.
