Yu Off PLANE, but FVJ 2 Still Possible
Ronny Yu gets replaced by David Ellis for the high-flying thriller...
According to Daily Variety Freddy vs. Jason helmer, Ronny Yu, has dropped off the New Line project Snakes on a Plane only to be replaced by Cellular helmer David Ellis.
Plane is a thriller in which a witness to a mob hit must travel from Hawaii to the mainland to testify. Accompanying him on the flight is a crate of 250 poisonous snakes, which are to prevent the witness from getting to the trial.
The article also says that despite Yu's drop off from the film he is still working on other projects at the studio, including Freddy vs. Jason 2.
