'X-Men: First Class' Teaser Poster Revealed
There it is, a big ol' X
Yup, more X-Men: First Class assets, this time from Ain't It Cool News comes the teaser poster for the upcoming comic book adaptation I've mentioned the last two days. It doesn't exactly do much more than present a large Photoshop graphic, but I am sure you'll be interested in checking it out.
X-Men: First Class hits theaters on June 3 and is directed by Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake) and stars an enormous ensemble cast including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Rose Byrne, Morgan Lily, January Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Bill Milner, Charlie Rowe and Ray Wise. I've added the official studio synopsis below the poster.
X-Men First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

i just dont think this will be any good, this summer looks to be the beginning of the end for the superhero genre(fingers crossed)
why fingers crossed? not dismissive, just intrigued by why people would like to see the genre (if it even is one) banished.
True. If you don't like superhero movies, don't go and see them. I wish there would be a beginning of the end to romantic comedies but I know that's not going to happen. You know what I do instead? I don't go to see romantic comedies.
to answer, i dont dislike the genre when donee right (the dark knight..) but I feel the market place is over saturated with them right now and big budget movies and summer tentpoles are starting to become exclusively superhero films and I would just like more diversity
Ah yeah, I get your point, everywhere you turn there's another superhero flick, for a comic book fan its nirvana but for others its probably offputting. But I think they are getting a bit diverse now mainly because they have to if they want to stay relevant.
Unfortunately I can't see that pattern changing, not when they're rolling in the money. I'd prefer a little more diversity as well but knowing Hollywood it'll probably be a retread of a previous story
Uncross those fingers Bill, this not me endorsing that I think First Class will be any good but even if this a bad year for comic book movies 2012 will just be height of superheroes movies.
The Dark Knight Rises/Dir Chris Nolan
The Wolverine/Dir Darren Aronofsky
The Avengers/Dir Joss Whedon
(The) Spiderman/Dir Marc Webb
I'll cross my fingers and hope these live up to my expectations. A nerd can dream can't he?!
i know your right, and Im actually looking forward to all of those, the avengers just because im curious if they can actually pull it off. I just dont think this is going to be a good year for them heros, though I will hold judgement and do have faith The green Lantern could be good
Don't forget Kick-Ass 2
