Wright as Powell, Duvall as Cheney and More Details on 'W'
Some casting rumors surrounding 'W'
It seems Oliver Stone's biopic on George W. Bush, W, is grabbing some serious names as Josh Brolin (George W. Bush), Elizabeth Banks (Laura Bush), James Cromwell (George H.W. Bush) and Ellen Burstyn (Barbara Bush) already make up the cast. Now Entertainment Weekly is reporting Jeffrey Wright (Casino Royale) is in talks for the role of Colin Powell and Robert Duvall may be called upon to take on the role of Vice President Dick Cheney.
EW says Duvall has not been contacted according to his agency and this is the first we have heard of Wright's involvement. However, the site also gives us this longer plot description referred to in the article as an "internal positioning statement":
W is the improbable story of a man who went to the White House despite getting fewer votes than his opponent; who became commander-in-chief despite having avoided military combat himself; and who became the least popular president ever elected to a second term. W will shock and surprise you and leave you questioning everything you believe to be true.
W begins filming on April 21 in Shreveport, LA.

I don't know , cast sounds decent, but this film just sounds boring.
I really can't tell just yet what I think. My faith in Stone isn't really at an all-time high, and I am not sure he is the best one to make this film considering his opinion of Bush. Especially since he says none of his personal opinion is going to be in the film, which I will believe when I see.
