Woo Wooed to New Thriller
How many films can one man be attached to?
John Woo's name seems to pop up with just about every film as of late whether it is Rainbow Six, He-Man, Spy Hunter, etc. and now we learn he is attached to direct and produce an untitled thriller set in China for Philip Anschutz's Bristol Bay Prods. and StudioCanal.
The story of the film will center on a visiting American inadvertently caught in a struggle between government officials and the secret underworld fueling China's new economy.
Although a production start date has not been announced, the film will lense in Beijing with a focus on the clash between communism and capitalism and the transformation of China into an economic superpower.
