Witherspoon Still Working on 'Reckoning'
A story that just won't die.
This isn't new news, in fact it is over a year old. In June of 2004 The Hollywood Reporter carried a similar story and apparently this isn't a film Reese is letting go of.
Reese Witherspoon was "in negotiations" to star in The Reckoning and now THR is reporting that she is actually developing the dramatic thriller for Paramount Pictures. The movie is based on the Jeff Long novel of the same name centering on a photojournalist who arrives in Cambodia to cover the U.S. military search for the remains of an American pilot shot down during the Vietnam War.
The story was and still is written by Ted Tally who also wrote Red Dragon and The Silence of the Lambs.
