Witherspoon has 'Family Troubles'
Uni nabs Reese for new drama.
After her terrific performance in this year's Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line you would think director's would be pounding on Reese Witherspoon's door begging her to be in their next film and at least one studio has taken to such a task as Universal Pictures is in the process of developing the drama Our Family Troubles as a starring vehicle for her.
The film is expected to get a new title before hitting the big screen, but as for the story, it will find Witherspoon as a first-time mother so plagued by unexplained phenomena that she doubts her own sanity. When she returns to her Tennessee home, she fixates on the legend of the Bell Witch and becomes convinced the evil spirit is intent on harming her son.
Yeah, so I guess we could classify this one as a drama/paranoid-thriller.
As for Reese's acting, she was just nominated for a Golden Globe for her portrayal of June Carter in Walk the Line, get the full list of those noms right here.
