Winona Ryder Joins 'Star Trek'
First bigger name is attached...
I am not sure if you count Eric Bana as a big name, but I am pretty sure most people know about Winona Ryder and she is the latest name to join the cast of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reports Variety.
Ryder joins the cast to play the Vulcan mother of a young Spock (Zachary Quinto).
Filming is finally underway on the project, which revolves around the early Starfleet Academy days of the crew of the Starship Enterprise. Chris Pine has been set to play Capt. Kirk, Simon Pegg will play Scotty, Karl Urban is Dr. McCoy and Bana will play the villain, Nero.
