Will There be a 'Cars 2'?
More sequels coming out of Pixar?

Pixar has not jumped on the sequel bandwagon as much as it probably could have especially considering films like Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and especially The Incredibles are ripe for follow-ups. However, it has just been Toy Story, which even has a third installment due out in 2010.
Wait though! A blog dedicated to the animation house is saying there is a possibility that a Cars 2 will be made, a rumor that surfaced from the mouth of Paul Newman earlier this year.
The site goes on to say that they expect Cars 2 to be made for a 2011 release with John Carter of Mars being once again pushed back to 2012.
Is there any reliability in this story? Well, Cars did make $244 million, but John Lasseter, head of Pixar, went on record already this year saying, "Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It's all about the filmmakers being passionate about going somewhere."
I expect Toy Story 3 will be the only sequel out of the house and if any sequels were to come I would personally expect it to be The Incredibles.
