Will Scareltt Johansson Replace Emily Blunt in 'Iron Man 2'?
I would prefer Blunt
It's hard to gauge the public's perception of Scarlett Johansson as an actress. She certainly has those that like her, but is it just because of her looks or do most of you think she's a good actress. I find her to be distracting and think she rarely delivers a good performance. I did enjoy her in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but you would have to go all the way back to Lost in Translation to find another performance you could even call good. So, when Entertainment Weekly says Johansson is in discussions to replace Emily Blunt in Iron Man 2 it doesn't impress me all that much.
The news comes as Blunt still has a scheduling conflict as she is set to star in Gulliver's Travels for Fox and may not be able to make both films at the same time. The role in question is that of Russian superspy Natasha Romanoff, who doubles as Black Widow.
Interesting enough, the big talk around the Internet this past week came when word the script for Iron Man 2 still wasn't finished. With an April 15 start date set for Gulliver's Travels who knows, maybe that film will be finished by the time Blunt is needed for Iron Man 2.

Isn't that the lady from THE SPIRIT? Don't let her be in another comic book movie!! Pleeeeeeeeease!! (or in any other movie for that matter…)
I'd prefer Emily Blunt, too. What's she playing in Iron Man 2? A villain? A good guy? She'd be great either way, though I'd love to see her as a villain. ;)
I'd also much rather see Emily blunt in iron man 2, hopfully they try harder to work around her scheduling and keep her in it.
I prefer Emily too. Scarlett is just bland.
Scarlet can be good when she trys, though I wish they'd cast Emily Blunt instead.
But saying she's a bad acctress isn't right. She did a very good job in The Other Boleyn Girl,a decent job in The Prestige (not bad, just not anything spectular, probably because the role didn't call for it), and even The Island.
And people, really, Lost In Translation is a horrible movie. Despite being really boring, they do nothing the whole movie but fool around Toyko, give Giovanni Robisi (spelling?) no part, and tell only a couple jokes that aren't funny over who knows how or short it's runnign time. It's one of the worst movies of all time, and makes Uwe Boll's House Of The Dead look like a decent film.
It's time she goes get a chance, but not for Iron Man 2.
Yikes! Johansson in another comic book movie will bring back painful Spirit memories. I don't think she is a lousy actress but I don't think she's all that either. Did Emily Blunt need to participate in Gulliver's Travels? Do we need another Gulliver's Travels movie in the first place? If they can't get her back, they should probably go with Eva Green.
Scarlett can act when she's well directed. No disrespect to Emily Blunt either, she's great.
It's up to the director to inspire good acting.
