Will Ferrell Eyes 'Neighborhood Watch' for Fox
Sounds nice and generic
I am really hoping this summer's Land of the Lost is good as I would like to enjoy a Will Ferrell film again. Strangely enough my favorite Ferrell film from the past five years is one most people don't like at all, last year's Semi-Pro, but considering I haven't seen it since I will have to say Night at the Roxbury remains my favorite film in which Ferrell has toplined. I enjoyed him in Zoolander, he had his moments in Old School, I thought he was the worst part of Wedding Crashers and yet the best thing about the 2005 snoozer The Producers. Unfortunately, a re-team with Wedding Crashers helmer David Dobkin doesn't exactly inspire confidence considering Dobkin's latest effort Fred Claus.
The news comes from Variety, reporting Ferrell and Dobkin are both in negotiations for the 20th Century Fox comedy Neighborhood Watch penned by Jared Stern (Bolt). The film chronicles an urbanite's journey as he moves to a suburban community, joins the neighborhood watch and uncovers a large conspiracy.

What of Anchorman?
Anchorman was definitely Ferrell'l best performance. HILARIOUS!
It wasn't a typical comedy, but I really enjoyed Stranger than Fiction. I think props are deserved for that at least.
Isn't that pretty much the premise of Edgar Wright's "Hot Fuzz"?
Oh god, really? "Semi-Pro" was not horrible, but possibly the most bland and unmemorable movie Ferrell has done in forever, just my opinion. Also, "Land of the Lost" looks horrible, I hope it's the "Speed Racer" of this summer- bloated, costly trash that bombs at the box office.
This movie does sound familiar A. Non (is that short for Anomyous?); loved this film back when it was called "Hot Fuzz" 2 years ago.
