Who Will Replace Katie Holmes in 'Dark Knight'?
Rumors are just about ready to go wild...
I think I am just going to update this article as the rumor mill begins to churn in relation to the actress that will replace Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight. We have already heard Rachel McAdams' name and now Cinema Blend is adding Devil Wears Prada supporting actress Emily Blunt to the fold.
The site reports the following:
…according to one of our regular scoopers, they may end up going with Devil Wears Prada star Emily Blunt. Word is that the folks behind the Batman Begins sequel are impressed with her, and may bring Blunt in to read for the role.
The source also goes on to say that Katie didn't "leave" the project as reported earlier, she "was dropped." Whether or not that is true will never be known since both sides are probably going to say Katie left the project in a joint decision based on blah, blah, blah… It doesn't really matter, at least not to us, perhaps Holmes will be a bit upset if she was asked not to comeback, but oh well.
