The first White House Down trailer is finally here along with a slightly larger version of the poster for the film I featured last night.

As we already know, the film is directed by Roland Emmerich (2012) and finds Channing Tatum playing Capitol Policeman John Cale who has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. With the nation's government falling into chaos and time running out, it's up to Cale to save the president, his daughter and the country.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Jason Clarke, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Rachelle Lefevre, Joey King and Richard Jenkins co-star.

White House Down is set to hit theaters on June 28, check out the trailer and poster directly below (via Moviefone).

I'll see it if reviews are good, but this trailer really did NOT impress me at all.

Looks a lot better than anticipated. One of the best trailers I've seen for a movie in months.

Between the two that is a far superior trailer to anything Olympus put out and I can start to believe where that $150 million was spent.

I think them making it look too serious will hurt them.

Independence Day was alright, The Day after Tomorrow was a little blah, and 2012 was complete crap so yeah I might stay away from this one.

I'm starting to think Roland Emmerich doesn't like The White House.
