Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. Pictures has preemptively bought the pitch Kite from scripters Michael Lander and Ryan Roy for Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way to produce.

The story is set in the California prison system, revolves around a prison guard who is caught up in a web of corruption and violence.

As all things are with DiCaprio's Appian Way production company this film could easily become a starring vehicle for the actor.
