'Watchmen' Trailer to Comic Comparison

COMMENTS

Take a look and see how it all matches up

I was curious after watching the trailer for Watchmen close to one gazillion times just how it all matched up to the Alan Moore/Dave Gibbons graphic novel and with ten examples I think you will get a pretty good idea of what Zach Snyder is going for and judge for yourself if he is on the right track or not. Personally, I think he has it nailed even though this appears to be a slick version of the comic, which is sure to create detractors, but after all is said and done it depends on how he condenses the 12 chapter novel into a 2:30 hour movie.

For now, let's just enjoy the caps and if you haven't watched the trailer yet you can do so before browsing the pics.

I loved the comic when I read it last year, but I just can't get excited about that trailer. I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, but I already have a feeling that I won't feel like watching comic book movies for quite some time after that. Whatever the case, consider me underwhelmed.

    The Watchmen trailer looked GREAT!
I'm sick of all the whining about how the movie will not be like the book.
    *spoiler alert* -IT PROBALY WON'T-
Get over it and enjoy it for what it is.
It looks like much effort was put into it looking decent and the trailer loked accurate to comic.
I'm excited and glad a crew of people put effort into making this happen finaly.

I've got some friends who have been raving about the comic for … forever! I'm finally reading it now because I saw the trailer last week and thought it looked cool. (Fact I'm an old Smashing Pumpkins fan didn't hurt, either. ;D )
