Arriving in theaters later this year.

Zal Batmanglij's The East premiered at the Sundance Film Festival recently and I added a couple of new pictures from the film over the weekend, but today the first trailer has arrived.

The film is a dramatic thriller centered on a contract worker who is tasked with infiltrating an anarchist group, only to find herself falling for its leader.

Batmanglij re-teamed with his Sound of My Voice co-writer and star, Brit Marling, to write the screenplay and Marling stars alongside Alexander SkarsgÄrd, Ellen Page, Toby Kebbell, Shiloh Fernandez and Patricia Clarkson.

I didn't read any of the reviews out of Sundance, but buzz seems to be solid, especially for those that enjoyed Sound of My Voice. There is no release date planned just yet, but Fox will bring it to theaters later this year, and based on the fact we now have a trailer, I expect sooner than later.

I loved "Sound of my Voice" and this film looks even more intriguing. Bigger, too. I'm hoping it sees a release soon.

I still can't see what is so great about Brit Marling. SMV was a disappointment to me and I think she only gets work because she helps write the scripts.

Try 'Another Earth' or even 'Arbitrage'! I think she's a great actress!

Like I said she wrote Another Earth.
