Watch the David Fincher-Directed Music Video for Justin Timberlake's 'Suit & Tie'

Right before The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was released I did a four page spread featuring the music videos David Fincher has directed for artists such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Billy Idol, Aeorsmith and more. Today you can add Justin Timberlake to that list as the official video for Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" featuring Jay-Z from his upcoming The 20/20 Experience has premiered.

The all black-and-white video is pretty slick, I just wish I liked the song a little more. Personally that opening 40 seconds or so annoys me and while I can see where the rest of the song may be able to grow on me, I'm not sure I would be able to last the precious seconds it takes to get there.

Give the video a watch below and let me know what you think, and you can check out that feature I did on the other videos Fincher has directed right here.

I agree its got a lot of style and it look great, but I hate the first 40 seconds...

I also didn't like the first 40 seconds either. The rest of it I just happen to love so I've gotten used to the beginning. Great video.

Madonna recently said that she was the one that gave Fincher a career.

Meh. I don't care for the song and I didn't think the visuals were that interesting.

Beautiful lighting and cinematography, which is what we've come to expect from anything Fincher does.

Video's pretty underwhelming and the song is just flat out forgettable.

Personally speaking, the video is generic as anything. There is no voice to it other than evoking the spirit of a much better video Fincher made for Madonna 22 years ago.

In all honesty, I'm more impressed by the inclusion of people smoking on screen, which must be a big no-no in this mollycoddled era of music video creating, than any of the visuals on show. That takes some nerve and only a guy like Fincher can get away with it.

Hats off to JT. Considering his less than credible roots, the guy has paced his solo music career with thoughtful breaks and astonishingly brilliant song writing collaborations. This is a good song and marks a performer that is creating the kind of pop music a man of his age should be making. There is evolution in his sound. His last two albums were quality and here's hoping for a hattrick.

(He's a good screen actor, too.)

David Fincher is the greatest music video director of all-time, right up alongside Spike Jonze.

Justin Timberlake...possibly the most multi-talented human being ever. Hear this: He will be nominated for an Oscar within 5 years.
