On September 16, Fox Home Entertainment will release the complete Star Wars saga on Blu-ray. You can buy the prequel trilogy, the original trilogy or the complete saga and among the new features included there will be deleted, extended and alternate scenes and Fox just screened the following sneak peek at some deleted scenes at the Star Wars Fan Movie Awards.

The sizzle reel runs just 55 seconds, but I'm sure die-hard Star Wars fans that have been itching to see this footage as well as own the films in high-definition will enjoy this.

Personally I can't quite figure out what I want to do. Will there ever be a time the original trilogy will be released in high-definition without the additional scenes and CGI or is this my only hope to own Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi on Blu-ray?

As of right now you can buy the complete saga at Amazon for $89.99 and the separate trilogies for $44.99 each. If you're interested in giving them a look just click here and browse the selection. Other than that, enjoy the sizzle reel and I've included some additional screen captures at the end of this post.

NOTE: I have been informed the deleted scenes will only be available in the complete saga collection. The individual trilogy packs will not included the deleted scenes.

    Cool.

I wonder if George Lucas will change anything in the films – yet again.
He made the Special Editions, then the added a little scene for the DVD of Episode I, and then made even more changes in the original trilogy for the DVD releases.
