Late last night we saw what turned out to be a short IMAX trailer for Ridley Scott's return to the world of Alien, and now I have a full new trailer for Prometheus to share in advance of the film's June 8 release.
Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce and Patrick Wilson, Prometheus is described as the start of a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

This movie has now moved up my most anticipated movies of 2012 list... it now occupies the number 3 spot and has knocked The Avengers down to number 4...

This looks amazing. Bumps DKR & Avengers to 4 & 5 of my most anticipated movies of 2012. But still behind Django Unchained and Only God Forgives. But it is my most anticipated of summer. I can't wait for this. I also hope this trailer doesn't spoil the whole movie.
This has been my most anticipated movie for some time now...& its gr8 to see it will remain that way !!....
And i dont think the trailer gives too much away, rather it piques one's interest even more by offering a mythological context to the whole affair, something which the title always hinted at but the previous trailers / teasers never really gave a glimpse of....
This has all the makings of a modern classic....i am excited and praying for it to be good at the same time....
To avoid any possible spoilers this wiill be the last piece of marketing I watch for the movie. So pumped for it and while 'm not super happy about it i'd gladly see it in 3D.

I saw the first-night run of ALIEN when I was a teenager without knowing a thing about the film and it was one of the most unforgettable cinema experiences I've had, so, yeah, I'm up for another great-looking Scott Sci-Fi pic on the big screen.
