Watch Now: 'Cosmopolis' Teaser Trailer Starring Robert Pattinson

Cosmopolis trailer
Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis

I'm not sure what other signs we need when it comes to expecting David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis to play at the Cannes Film Festival, but with a May 23 release already set for France and now a teaser trailer with French subtitles all that's left is the official announcement.

Cosmopolis is based on the novel by Don DeLillo, and follows newly married billionaire Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson) as he cheats on his wife, is pursued by a stalker (Paul Giamatti), gets attacked by a protester and gradually loses his entire fortune over the course of a single day. Juliette Binoche, Mathieu Amalric, Samantha Morton, Sarah Gadon, Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand and Emily Hampshire all co-star.

A new Cronenberg film is always something to get excited for so check out the teaser below and tell me if you're excited and if you think a domestic distributor is going to snatch this one up quickly.

Hahaha ...Cronenberg my man, u remain awesome as always.....wat read like a straightforward tale of greed & infidelity seems to have become this wild, crazy ride of brutality & perversion in ur hands ....Pattinson just did his career a favor i guess....I salute u Mr. Cronenberg !!....

Hope it gets picked up for US distribution soon. Anyone else think that just from that teaser this is looking like it might get an NC-17?

  • Yaz

It's a Cronenberg film, of course it's going to get picked up for domestic distribution sooner rather than later. As for the NC-17 rating, that remains to be seen. I think if this was '96 he'd be down with that, but I think he's lost some of that rebellious edge he once had. I'm expecting a hard-R.

If bottle sex scene will be grafic,I think this movie would get NC-17 rating,if not- it will be R.
