Warner Bros. has premiered the first clip from Jack the Giant Slayer as well as a 30-second trailer teaser promoting the reveal of a new trailer for the film this coming Monday.

Originally set for a release date almost a year ago, this updated interpretation of the "Jack and the Beanstalk" story stars Nicholas Hoult and Ewan McGregor under the direction of Bryan Singer (X-Men, The Usual Suspects) and tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend—and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Check out the clip and trailer sneak peek directly below. The film hits theaters on March 1.

This movie looks like a hoot so I'll probably rent it, but it's a bummer seeing Bryan Singer resort to this junk. IMO his career reminds me of M. Night Shyamalan's, where their first 3 films are solid and the rest get progressively worse... *sigh*.
