Wan Assigns Bacon a 'Death Sentence'
Kevin Bacon is drawn to Aussie helmer's new pic
Kevin Bacon has signed on to star in original Saw helmer, James Wan's upcoming feature Death Sentence for 20th Century Fox.
The story centers on a father (Bacon) out for revenge after his family is attacked in a heinous gang-initiation crime. The father enacts a death sentence on each person involved in the crime. Ian Jeffers adapted the screenplay from Brian Garfield's novel.
Garfield is also the author responsible for the novel "Death Wish," which we can all remember being made into the action franchise starring Charles Bronson.
Principal photography is scheduled to begin in early September in New York.
