UPDATED: New 'Blade Runner' Title Sequence?
They are going all out for this DVD
UPDATE: It has come to my attention that right here producer Charlie de Lauzirika confirms that these new credits are not real. De Lauzirika is one of the producers on the DVD. However, he does say he likes them, so give 'em a gander.
At Comic Con this year Warner Home Video is going to be serving up a big DVD spread primarily featuring 300 and the newly remastered version of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner.
While there were apparently some reshoots recently for the new DVD edition it certainly looks like they have come up with a new title sequence to open the movie as you can see below.
I have added a look at the original titles first and then just below that is what is said to be the new title sequence for the DVD release.
Unfortunately there still isn't a firm date set for this new edition, but I have a gut feeling it will be announced come Comic Con at the end of this month and we will certainly be there to bring you the news once it hits.

Wow, thanks Brad. This is interesting, I'd hold Blade Runner in my highest top ten of films, but I don't feel it's good enough. Anyway, thanks for (always) posting excellent and informative articles! We tend to agree often in your posts.
I hope they keep the original title sequence. In my opinion it's much better. Straight from black screen with the main titles to L.A. 2019.
