UPDATED: Naomi Watts in 'Potter 6'?
Has Narcissa Malfoy been cast?
UPDATE: This casting rumor along with rumors that Stuart Townsend and Joseph Fiennes had been cast in Harry Potter 6 have been said to be untrue according to the actors' reps reports MTV.
There have been rumors for quite some time now that Naomi Watts was going to be joining the cast of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but according to News.com.au she has now signed on to play Narcissa Malfoy, mother to Draco and wife to Lucius.
Currently preggers with Liev Schrieber's baby, Watts wouldn't begin filming her part in the sixth installment until September.
Watts would fit the role and it would be our first chance to see her play a slightly more evil character. Half-Blood Prince is already set for a November 21, 2008 release with Order of the Phoenix helmer David Yates back in the chair.

Hmmm, actually she would fit the role pretty well, well from the book. I am not sure if she can pull it off.. but hey.. she made thr ring and ring two happen even though the movie wasnt. so she can probably pull this one off. Good choice on casting.
Correct me if I am wrong though, but she doesn't necessarily have a HUGE role in the books does she? I just read Half-Blood Prince about a week ago, but I don't remember Narcissa doing much more than hanging around and worrying about Draco…
Doesn't matter since David Yates is directing this one. The Order of the Pheonix sucked!
Yikes, those are some harsh words. I actually didn't really like Order of the Phoenix the first time I saw it, but that was primarily because I was expecting a different film then what I got. After watching it a second time I really liked it.
