UPDATE: 'Harry Potter 5' DVD Due in December

Very early details on the upcoming Harry Potter release

UPDATE: We have now been provided with official specs and artwork for the release.

No surprise here as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released in time for Christmas as Warner Home Video has made available the release date of the upcoming DVD. The DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray formats will be made available to the public on December 11th.

The specs for each release are below, followed by the official artwork for each:

2-Disc Special Edition DVD:

• 10 minutes of never before seen footage.
• "Trailing Tonks" featurette – Spend a day with Actress Nat Tena and receive a very personal and often wacky tour of the Harry Potter
  and The Order of the Phoenix stages.
• "Harry Potter: The Magic of Editing" featurette – Director David Yates and Editor Mark Day show us what a difference a good edit makes and
  then allow you to edit a scene.
• "The Hidden Secrets of Harry Potter" featurette – We look for clues in the past Harry Potter films for what the future films may hold.

HD DVD:

• 10 minutes of never before seen footage
• A&E documentary – In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, mystery pervades every corner of the story. Take a
  thrilling look back through the previous movies in search of clues to the mysteries of the Harry Potter saga.
• "Trailing Tonks" featurette – Spend a day with Actress Nat Tena and receive a very personal and often wacky tour of the Harry Potter
  and The Order of the Phoenix stages.
• In Movie Experience – Join the cast from Dumbledore?s Army as they come together to share memorable moments.
• Focus Points – Enjoy these "making of" featurettes to discover just what is involved to create those amazing scenes and characters.
• Pick Your Favorite Scenes – Assemble your favorite clips from the movie, create your montage.
• Fun and Games -the director and editor show us what a difference a good edit makes.
• Web-Enabled Features- sycronized playback event, mobile downloads.
