'Up In the Air' Teaser Trailer
I believe I can fly...
The teaser trailer for Jason Reitman's already much talked about Up In the Air has arrived following its debut at the Telluride Film Festival and the havoc it caused in my Oscar predictions as yesterday I updated my charts for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director based on the buzz surrounding this film.
Up In the Air stars George Clooney, Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick with Clooney playing Ryan Bingham, a corporate hatchet man who loves his life on the road but is forced to fight for his job when his company downsizes its travel budget. He is required to spend more time at home just as he is on the cusp of a goal he's worked toward for years: reaching five million frequent flyer miles and just after he's met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.
Check out the trailer below and look out as the film is rumored to hit theaters on December 4 and will next be screened at the Toronto Film Festival.
I will be doing a proper Oscar update soon, but also be sure to head over to The Contenders section of the site to check out the latest updated Oscar predictions.

My calender is marked for December 4th. This is definitely one of my most anticipated for the end of the year. George Clooney looks like he'll be great. I love Jason Reitman's previous stuff (Juno and Thank You For Smoking) so I'm excited for this.
Damn, what a different and simply genius trailer! It's not genius because it's different: it's genius because it's genius, but that it's different makes it stand out all the more. Pedigree? Check! I'm also signed up for Dec 4 (or later, since it'll probably start in a micro-release and go platform).
Can't disagree with you here, the buzz has been crazy. I'm really looking forward to this film, I've enjoyed all of Reitman's films and Clooney looks like a major Oscar contender.
Very serious than I expected, but still good. What do you think the MPAA will rate it?
Intriguing.
@m1: It's definitely an R. I don't feel like passing it around (sorry), but I have the script. It's an R.
I hated Juno, but this looks excellent. Very high on my radar.
