Universal Options for 'God'
Another vid, yup another vid.
Guess what, another videogame is getting a feature film adaptation… Can you believe it?!?!?
This time around Variety is reporting that Universal Pictures has secured the movie rights to Sony Computer Entertainment's "God of War," a vid set in ancient Greece that follows the battles of the warrior Kratos, who tackles mythological beasts including Medusa, Cyclops and the Hydra. Players navigate Kratos on his quest to find Pandora's Box and destroy Ares, the god of war.
I will admit this one sounds a bit interesting, but then again I do remember this one movie called Clash of the Titans, so why don't we just call this what it is… another remake.
The game was released in March and the studio is still looking for a director, and a cast for that matter, so word on a production start is still a ways out.
