'Underdog' Finds a Helmer
Live-action version moving forward.
It looks like that cooky little pooch will actually make his way to the big screen as Disney and Spyglass have entered negotiations with Frederik Du Chau to direct the live-action version of Underdog.
How exactly will it be live-action you wonder? Well, there will be a real dog, but he will be CGI-enhanced to portray the talking canine with super powers.
Du Chau had his crash course in the CGI process on the Warner Bros. film Racing Stripes, so hopefully he learned enough to give ol' Under what he needs to seem "alive."
The feature is expected to begin filming early 2006.
