Uma Thurman As Medusa and Rockin' the iPhone 'Percy Jackson' Style
Will Logan Lerman go big after this film?

A batch of nine images from Fox's upcoming February 12 release Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief just arrived and are now available in our gallery, and typically I wouldn't waste space on a post this simple, but something about the above image just told me I should just because it gives us an idea of just exactly what is in store.
The image features Uma Thurman Greek female monster Medusa in her 21st century form checking out Logan Lerman who plays Percy Jackson in the reflective backing of her iPhone. As much as I hate product placement I had to admit I enjoyed this pic. And for what it's worth I think this movie doesn't look half-bad, at least based on the couple of TV spots I have caught a glimpse of.
I also see this as a potential breakout role for Logan Lerman who recently told Access Hollywood he has had "a few discussions" with regard to taking on the new Peter Parker in the as yet untitled Spider-Man reboot. Of course, he realized host Billy Bush was starting to take "few discussions" and turn it into something more and began back-tracking adding, "Just conversations are starting. It's a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it's definitely a project that I'm really interested in. I'd love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It'd be such a fun experience."
So, basically, don't go running off to tell anyone he's got the role.
You can check out the full gallery of images from Percy Jackson right here, and I included the trailer in this post in case you're interested in giving it a peek.

Good God, those CG snakes look horrible. It looks like some awful Photoshop mockup.
The books are terrific and have a fanbase. I say, $36mil opening weekend.
when this film bombs, due to massive competitiona nd appealing to very few people, his chances might just diapear..nothing against the actor, i just want it to be scorsesse who finally takes number 1 of the weekend from cameron, i think its fitting
LOL LOL Finally, Uma Thurman has been properly cast !
I have no idea why they are advertising this movie "opening President's Day". Most think President's day is on a Monday.
He shouldn't be mentioning these "few discussions" this early no matter how excited he is about it. Especially not to Billy Bush of all people! That is like hollering for a jinx.
Funny, though, how the front is actually far more reflective.
