Monk stars Tony Shalhoub, an executive producer of the series and the winner of Emmy and Golden Globe Awards in 2003 for his portrayal of the brilliant but obsessive-compulsive San Francisco detective Adrian Monk. Mr. Shalhoub recently received his second Golden Globe Award nomination for the role. Among Mr. Shalhoub's many motion picture credits are The Man Who Wasn't There, Galaxy Quest and the Men in Black series.
