Over the past three days a few new trailers have found their way into the RopeofSilicon Trailer Park, but I haven't written up articles about them since I believe most people can find their way over there without me holding their hand. However, some of you may have still missed the opportunity so I bring you four of the most recent trailers to be added, which include films starring Jennifer Aniston, Aaron Eckhart, Dylan Walsh, Amber Heard, Kate Beckinsale, John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Amanda Peet, Woody Harrelson and a whole bunch of people dancing.

Let's see what you may have missed.

Whiteout
September 11, 2009
After two years stationed at Antarctica's South Pole research base, lone U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckinsale) is as anxious as anyone to be going home. She's turned in her resignation and is counting the hours and minutes to the last plane out. But three days before departure, a body turns up on the ice and Carrie is immediately thrust into Antarctica's first murder investigation. As the death toll mounts, the mystery deepens with shifting loyalties, deadly whiteouts, and a relentless killer who will stop at nothing to protect a secret buried for over sixty years. Now with everyone around her packing up and getting out, Carrie must solve the crime before Antarctica is plunged into six months of darkness and she is stranded with the killer on a land where nothing comes in and no one gets out.

The Stepfather
October 16, 2009
Michael Harding (Penn Badgley) returns home from military school to find his mother (Sela Ward) happily in love and living with her new boyfriend, David (Dylan Walsh). As the two men get to know each other, Michael becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand. Is he really the man of her dreams or could David be hiding a dark side?

Love Happens
September 18, 2009
Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston star in the romantic drama Love Happens. When a self-help author arrives in Seattle to teach a sold-out seminar, he unexpectedly meets the one person who might finally be able to help him help himself.

Fame
September 25, 2009
A reinvention of the original OscarĀ®-winning hit film, Fame follows a talented group of dancers, singers, actors, and artists over four years at the New York City High School of Performing Arts, a diverse, creative powerhouse where students from all walks of life are given a chance to live out their dreams and achieve real and lasting fame…the kind that comes only from talent, dedication, and hard work.

2012
November 13, 2009
Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. 2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.

    2012 looks end-O-the-world-tastic

I have my reservations about 2012. Everyone better die at the end of 2012, no aliens, no intimate character piece, nothing. There needs to be a true "end of the world" movie with cool explosions and stuff. Little to no characterization. I'm paying to see Visual Effects destroy the world and I better see them.

its nice to see roland emmerich had stayed away from new york this time, its just stupid how all the past end of the world movies are set in new york.

  4. John

The effects looks nothing short of amazingly spectacular

  5. Wouldn't it be funny if at the end of 2012, New York is the only thing left.

to me 2012 is a bunch of bullshit. It's the media that scares you into it. After the mayan clock expires, it restarts. Nostradamus didn't even predict 2012. He predicted 3797. Look up year 3797 on google. Media made it up. But that movie looks sweet.

Since everyone is commenting solely on 2012. Darwin, what have you wrought? The survival of our species seems to be based on who is the most selfish and manipulative. The hell with the rest of you, crowd. Wonderful prospect. (Cusack looks and sounds like he's sleep walking. What happened to my golden boy? Has he gone the way of Nick Cage? shudder )

    Hummmmm…

Do you ever get the feeling that, were he not a filmmaker, Roland Emmerich not a filmmaker, he'd be a madman bent on destroying the entire world? He seems to have tried to get it out of his system too many times.

Oh, and the "Fame" trailer didn't have nearly the musical or visual kick that the "Nine" trailer had.

    2012; Great eye-candy!

dont know why the hate directed at Roland Emmerich… i thought independence day was a phenomenally entertaining movie.. and 2012 might be riddled with cliches but dont you someday just want to watch a movie without putting in a lot og thought into the plot and enjoy the awe-insipiring effects? i am gonna watch 2012 opening day on the biggest screen i can find…

Fame has me intrigued the original was way before my time ( well atleast by a couple of years) and i am a sucker for musicals..

Love Happens, great casting love both eckhart and anniston but this does not look great , i never liked any self-help character.. pass

whiteout, love kate beckinsale enuff said.

2012 visually lookz great, but every1 should b d.o.a. @ the end. if cusack & kidz live @ the end i'll b p.o.ed (re: no fake disney endingz !!! ).
that stepfather remake iz a mistake, the orig. guy (the guy from the 1st x-filez movie) waz way creepier. pluz, i hate remakez anyway. why iz hollywood so lazy nowadayz?

  13. Patricia

@dark41969: Is there any efficiency to using a "z" instead of a "s" for plurals? As for YOU criticizing Hollywood for being lazy with your almost incomprehensible use of abbreviated and unpunctuated lingo. Are you being zarcaztic?

  14. Eric

@Patricia: There'z probably zum good reazon for thiz guy to uze the z in place of an s. Perhapz hiz keyboard iz mizzing the "s" :P
