That didn't take long

Well that didn't take long. After announcing Step Up 3D helmer Jon Chu would direct the 3D Justin Bieber biopic Justin Bieber: Never Say Never in mid-August, just over two months later we already have a trailer for the film (via Apple), which Paramount has already set for a February 11, 2011 release date.
An official synopsis has not yet been revealed, but it has been described as a film that will give fans around the world an exclusive VIP backstage pass into the life of Justin Bieber. The film is expected to also feature behind the scenes footage from Bieber's early years as well as footage from his August 31st concert at Madison Square Garden.

Oh goody, we have a Valentine's Day movie for the girls… And boy was that a fast schedule!
Is this a biopic or just a concert film?
This looks more like a concert film that also just gives you backstory on him. More documentary than biopic, it seems like.
Wow, from it's first announcement to big release The Expendables took about 2 years. This took what, 6 months?
I wonder what would happen to his singing career if his voice broke?
yeah but it looks like this is made up of mostly just concert footage and interviews, not hard to produce something like that in six months.
Remember, This Is It with Michael Jackson took a much shorter time. This too, is a time sensitive project.
Well, they do have to hurry before he hits puberty and his career dies.
I'd rather watch this than most Summer blockbusters featuring giant robots bashing each other or another one of those tiresome American superhero movies that think darkness means depth.
The core market for this movie will love it – a market that isn't as well served as that for 15+ year old boys. Don't be haters. This is in no way me trying to defend Justin Beiber because I'm not.
Are you Japanese? I know you guys can't handle darkness o'er there, so you naturally wouldn't appreciate Nolan's Batmans.
Are you related to Mel Gibson?
Confession time- I saw the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus 3D concert movie. And dug it. It was fun for me, so I couldn't imagine how fun it would be for the core audience.
I like Justin Bieber's music much, much more than I do Miley's, so if they can make a fairly compelling (thought fluffy) music for Ms. Cyrus, they can probably do wonders for the Biebs.
I think it's gonna fall on me to put a bullet in this little bastards forehead. All the original scripts left on the floors and tables of hollywood's big companies and once again they pander to the tone deaf twits…. God I hate him and them.
I don't need Justin Bieber telling me to "never give up," & "anything's possible." If I want to watch an inspirational film I'll watch Cinderella Man.
Be adding this floater to the list of films I won't be seeing.
Get that movie out quick because next year some other flash-in-the-pan will make him yesterday's news.
I'm getting this strange vibe that people are milking all the money they possibly can out of this brat before he becomes the next washed up Aaron Carter, or Jesse McCartney. Remember those guys? Of course you don't, because they grew up and nobody cares about them anymore.
