Trailer for Denzel's 'The Book of Eli'
The new thriller from the Hughes brothers
The trailer for The Book of Eli starring Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman and Mila Kunis has arrived online, one day prior to its panel at Comic Con tomorrow morning, which I am sure is where they will be showing it once again.
The film revolves around a lone warrior (Washington) who must fight to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. Oldman has been set to portray the despot of a small makeshift town who's determined to take possession of the book Eli's guarding.
The Book of Eli hits theaters on January 15, 2010 from Warner Bros. You can watch the trailer in high-definition at Apple.
You can also check out four new images from the film in our gallery right here.

That looks awesome!
I'm not going to lie I was scarred off a bit by January release date, but the trailer looks amazing. I'm seeing this now just to see Denzel in full bad ass mode.
whats with denzel doing hand to hand combat ? hes not cut out for that.
Movies in January are never good, but the trailer is pretty impressive and moody (it looks like it could succeed where Terminator Salvation failed).
this trailer reminds me of i am legend without the infected albino zombie dudes
Looks really good. I would rather see Denzel as a bad ass than in generic roles like he plays in so many movies (Pelham for instance)
I think the new trend these days is to do post-apocalyptic movies (Terminator Salvation, I Am Legend, The Road). However, considering this is coming out in January, when most shitty movies come out, this looks pretty sweet.
While the atmposhpere is very good and the plot does look simple and interesting, I didn't like Denzel doing the fight scenes, didn't look realistic considering his age.
Let's not get too sophisticated, folks. Whether this is good or not, has an audience or not, should not be judged by it's impending release date. In January all of us have turned into zombies until the Spring release and the Summer blockbuster? I'll take a good movie at any time. But this doesn't look like one. Nothing to do with the release date. Washington as a road warrior? Miscasting, worn out premise, tired visuals. Not the right vibe.
