Trailer for De Niro's 'Stone' Co-Starring Norton and Jovovich
A thriller from the director of 'The Painted Veil'
A promo trailer for Stone the new film from John Curran (The Painted Veil) starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Milla Jovovich has arrived online.
The story centers on a ruthless convict (Norton) who engages in a series of disturbing mental games with his corrections officer (De Niro) in an attempt to gain parole. When the officer begins an affair with the convicts wife (Jovovich), it soon becomes clear that both the convict and officers motivations are suspect, provoking a dangerous ordeal. The film was written by Angus MacLachlan (Junebug) based on his own play and is a Nu Image / Millennium Films production and does not yet have domestic distribution.
It's a curious film to say the least considering neither The Painted Veil or Junebug seem to have much in common with the film on the surface level, but with the talent involved it could be good.
Oh, and I should add this is not safe for work. It continues nudity and foul language.

I suppose this is the redband trailer. Looks good. Jovovich looks hotter when she's not fighting zombies. I'm a huge Edward Norton fan so I look forward to this release.
Very interesting and intriguing premise, with obvious setup for good performances. The trailer reminds me a little bit of Law Abiding Citizen, but I hope the film doesn't go over the top.
Well, well. It seems DeNiro is back. For so long he was MIA, just a characature of his former self. But here we have the instinctive, intense actor back it seems. And Norton with braids. Going toe to toe with DeNiro and outmatching him. I don't know if this is any good, if it holds together or falls apart. But these little clips sure look interesting.
I'm predicting this to get a 75% rotten tomatoes rating and no Oscar buzz.
At least DeNiro looks like he's trying to get back in the game before old age carries his future into crusty old celluiod Grandpa's.
The Painted Veil was a great film. Deniro might have a great performance in him with the right material, and Norton is arguably the new Deniro, Looking very intense.
@PVT. JOKER: Yes, ironically, I would say that Norton is proving to be the new DeNiro, co-starring here with the original. I hope he is not such an ass hole in real ife as the original, too.
Can't see this getting any oscars though, because the critics just don't like Milla Jovovich that much, a shame really, they seem to be against her because she is a model and has made a few bad choices in her career, so what? most actors and actresses have chosen bad films in their past. I agree she looks hotter when she isn't fighting them silly zombies too.
do you guys know the release date of this Stone movie? I am a big Norton“s fan
