It seems to have become the way to go with movie now days to preview a portion of the film or make a big television debut of the newest trailer and 20th Century Fox plans on keeping that tradition on Wednesday, May 12, when the primetime schedule will include a 10-minute preview of the 20th Century Fox film The Day After Tomorrow at 8:44-8:54 PM ET/PT.

The Day After Tomorrow, which opens on Friday, May 28. In Independence Day, director Roland Emmerich depicted the near-destruction of the Earth by aliens. Now, in The Day After Tomorrow, the enemy is an even more devastating force: nature itself. Tornadoes rip Los Angeles; a massive snowstorm pounds New Delhi; hail the size of grapefruit batters Tokyo; and in New York City, the temperature swings from sweltering to freezing in one day. In this special effects-packed, event motion picture, an abrupt climate change has cataclysmic consequences for the entire planet. The film, rated PG-13, was directed by Emmerich and features Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ian Holm, Emmy Rossum and Sela Ward.
