TOP TEN: Sexiest Movie Couples

While I believe Ursula Andress is the hottest Bond Girl of all-time as I dictated in my Bond Girl Top 40 last year, Halle came in at #3 and I think Pierce tops Sean Connery by just a smidge in the hot factor as my man hood droops just a little more while typing that. Ursula gets top nod for her emergence from the sea over Halle, but cheesy one liners and just overall amazing sex appeal bring Halle and Pierce in at #10 on this list.

This was an interesting one considering I am tossing aside the fact that Diane Lane is married to Richard Gere in Unfaithful and considering the man she has her adulterous affair with as the sexier of the two. Considering Gere was a hearty 53-years-old at the time and Martinez a ripe 36-years-old I think it is a safe call, after all, this was the role that resulted in her being one of People Magazine's Most Beautiful people in 2003 to go along with her Oscar nomination. On top of that Mr. Skin ranks her four stars declaring "Hall of Fame Nudity!" If that isn't an endorsement I don't know what is.
As for Olivier, what woman doesn't want a sexy man that can speak French and can turn Diane's attention away from Richard Gere?

Obviously this is a list made by a man when a little lesbian action is in consideration and don't think this is the last time it is going to happen in this span of ten couples, and no, I am not talking Wild Things. David Lynch's Mulholland Dr. is a fucked up film to say the least. Are certain scenes playing backwards? Is this happening? What does that mean? Blah, blah, blah… All that chatter ends once Naomi and Laura begin the love-making. If you would like proof… Here yah go… Oh, and it's not safe for work viewing.

I am not sure what women think of Jude Law, I am sure he has his fans just as much as he has the women that say "Ewww," but I am sure neither group is kicking him out of bed and I don't think I even need to poll men on their opinion of Natalie Portman, especially a Natalie that plays a stripper in Closer. Natalie was gorgeous in this film and I think Jude gave one of his best performances which made his character far more likable than the snotty shit he typically plays. The two together seemed to work at the end of the picture even though the relationship itself was destined for destruction. However, at the beginning of this film, aren't Nat and Jude quite the perfect couple? Her with her red hair, prior to innocence lost? Hell, even at the end, just prior to destruction… as seen above… it works for me.

Yeah, this isn't only about new films and the folks hounded by paparazzi. Had James Dean actually lived a normal life span I think this list could have been dedicated 100% to the man. I desperately wanted to make a spot on this list for him and Elizabeth Taylor from Giant, but alas the two were not a couple in that movie and it had to be dismissed, but Natalie Wood will do as James finds his spot here at number six. This placement actually is the one placement dedicated primarily on the looks of the male involved as Dean was an undeniable pimp for his time and would be running shit were he to burst on the scene nowadays. If you haven't experienced Rebel Without a Cause, Giant or East of Eden you don't know what you are missing. Not only was Dean a sexy star, he was a real star, one that could act. Seriously, though, I have to give you props because of your final two. I would have reversed them (Cary Grant is the sexiest movie star of all time, all time I say! :) ) but how can I complain when I actually agree with you for once? It's fairly odd, I must say.
I would have had Casablanca on the list, as well as Romeo & Juliet, but overall this is nicely done. And you simply cannot go wrong with Newman, Taylor, Grant and Kelly. You just can't!
(I probably would have added Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis, too, for Witness. Their scenes together are just downright electric!)
