Tons of Names in on the Second Coming of Christ
No slacking off on Stewart's directorial debut
A slew of impressive names have joined the upcoming religious themed flick Legion which stars Paul Bettany as the archangel Michael. The thriller will be directed by first timer Scott Stewart and joining Bettany are Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Tenney, Charles S. Dutton, Lucas Black, Kate Walsh, Adrianne Palicki, Kevin Durand and Willa Holland. The only bad name in that bunch is Dennis Quaid and his acting style of which I think we can officially dub "Quaidy" (this entails a ton of grimaces and mean looking confusion), and yes, I am now saying I would rather watch Tyrese in a movie than Dennis Quaid.
The film sounds incredibly interesting, primarily because I love religious themed films. In this one Bettany plays the archangel Michael, the only one standing between mankind and an apocalypse, after God loses faith in humanity. Man's lone hope rests with a group of strangers who must deliver a baby they realize is Christ in his second coming.
Screen Gems will distribute and shooting is expected to get underway shortly.
