Tina Takes a Turn to Play a Hindu Goddess
Reuters reports that Tina Turner will play a Hindu goddess in a Merchant-Ivory musical in which she will also sing classical numbers in Latin and Sanskrit.
Turner, 64, who retired about four years ago after years of electrifying shows in leather miniskirts, will portray the goddess Shakti in the film set in India and London.
