Tim Allen Wants to Direct
Comedian will take on an indie comedy
Tim 'The Toolman' Allen is going to take a stab at directing with an indie comedy called Crazy on the Outside, and he has actually managed to round up and impressive little cast list for his debut outing. On top of casting himself in the lead, his co-stars include Ray Liotta, Carrie-Anne Moss, Julie Bowen and Kelsey Grammer.
The film was written by Judd Pillot and John Peaslee and is described by Variety as an adult-themed comedy in which Allen stars as a parolee who finds life outside a prison cell to be much crazier once he enters his quirky sister's world.
Allen's only directorial outing is a 1999 episode of his sitcom "Home Improvement".
The film is set for a March shoot in Los Angeles.
