Three More Added to Remake Royalty
Hopkins, Clarkson and Gandolfini up for King's Remake.
After it was announced just a week or so ago that Meryl Streep had dropped out of the Columbia Pictures remake of the 1949 Oscar winner All the King's Men, which currently stars Sean Penn and Jude Law, we now find out that Patricia Clarkson has been cast as Sadie Burke, filling the shoes left empty by Streep's departure.
Along with that news we learn that Anthony Hopkins is on to play Judge Irwin and James Gandolfini has been cas as Tiny Duffy, a fawning member of Stark's entourage.
Steven Zaillian wrote the script and will be directing the picture of a lawyer Willie Stark (Sean Penn) who found fame as a politician. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Robert Penn Warren.
