| This is an excellent film and it's opening in 28 theaters this weekend and will continue to expand throughout September and into October. I considered writing up my review this weekend, but I still have part two, Public Enemy No. 1, right here on screener and I think I am just going to post my reviews for both on the same day. However, if you live in one of the cities Killer Instinct is showing at this weekend you should do everything you can to go see it. I loved it and can't wait to watch the follow-up. This film is rated R for strong brutal violence, some sexual content and language. | |

| The Last Exorcism |

| Boring. I am shocked this thing is getting any remotely good reviews. I grew increasingly bored as this movie played on and did absolutely nothing with a rather interesting premise. This film is rated PG-13 for disturbing violent content and terror, some sexual references and thematic material. | |

| Centurion |

| I did a mini review for this one after seeing it at the Seattle International Film Festival and I don't really see any more I need to add after looking over what I wrote then. However, I would probably dial back my "B+" grade to a "B" or "B-", but I think that tends to be the case whenever you're talking about most any film that didn't entirely bowl you over the further you remove yourself from the experience. Nevertheless, it's still a fun and hard-R, bloody good time. This weekend it's opening in 12 theaters nationwide and will begin expanding a little further on September 3. | Takers |

| Like Centurion this is just a fun actioner, though Takers is PG-13 fun and far more ridiculous and empty headed. Centurion has some legitimate moments of laughter where you'll be laughing with the characters as well as enjoying the carnage. With Takers there's some decent action, but the majority of the time you will likely be laughing at this movie for its silliness. Nevertheless, sometimes you need a movie like that. I had fun at my screening. This film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, a sexual situation/partial nudity and some language. | |

I'd just like to echo Brad's sentiments on Mesrine: Killer Instinct. It's truly an outstanding film.

Agreed, Mesrine is really good. But I am the only one who felt it was a bit segmented, like there could have been a better flow to it. I liked Centurion a good amount, it was really fun up until the ending. Tisk Tisk Tisk.
I don't know… I rather enjoyed the fragmented/episodic. It was refreshing to see a gangster movie that didn't try to fill in all the gaps with a bunch of voiceovers and montages.
