An Oscar contender, an Oscar winner and some Criterion Blu-rays

The Social Network
	It seems not a day passes where I'm not saying something about The Social Network as Columbia has run a stellar Oscar campaign and now DVD and Blu-ray campaign for their Oscar front-runner. I posted my review of this one yesterday so I won't say much more here, but this is a solid release and one you should definitely check out. For my full Blu-ray review click here.

Army of Shadows (Criterion Collection)
	I just posted my review of Jean-Pierre Melville's 1969 classic and it's an excellent release from Criterion, though I do offer a couple of alternative Melville titles if you're unfamiliar with the director. Give me review a read here and see if it's something up your alley.

Robinson Crusoe on Mars (Criterion Collection)
	I also just reviewed this Blu-ray upgrade from Criterion and it adds a whole new appeal over Melville's Army of Shadows offering a little camp and a little sci-fi fun to the equation. You can read my full Blu-ray review right here.

Raging Bull (30th Anniversary Edition)
	Fox sent this over this weekend but I have only had the time to take the cellophane off the packaging. The big bonus here, I guess, is that it comes with both the Blu-ray and the DVD, but for me I'm hoping it doesn't have the same visual defect my copy from almost a year ago had.

Dances with Wolves (20th Anniversary)
	This one arrived with Raging Bull and at four hours (this is the extended edition after all) I think it's rather obvious I didn't get a chance to watch it either. However, I am looking forward to revisiting this movie as I haven't seen it since 1991, just after it won the Best Picture Oscar. I remember thinking it was quite boring back then, but in 20 years my taste in movies has changed dramatically so it will be fun to return to it from a relatively fresh perspective.

Piranha 3D
	If anything I'd say this is a movie to make sure you see in theaters, at home I just don't see what the appeal would be unless you are having a party with a bunch of friends, but even then… there has to be something better to do.

Alpha and Omega
	I've heard this was awful, but beyond that I haven't heard anything. Anyone out there see it that can give me a thumbs up or down?
