This Week On DVD and Blu-ray: February 24, 2009

A very slow week following the Oscars

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was when I saw what a slow week it was this week. Following Sunday's Oscars I am spent and happy I didn't have to do a huge write up this week. That said, there are a couple titles to check out as well as some Oscar nominated films and a couple of new Pixar titles coming to Blu-ray I just added to the database that are listed in the release dates below. See if anything catches your eye.

The French Connection / French Connection II
	I just got done posting an editorial/review of The French Connection which you can read right here as there is certainly far too much to discuss in this small space, but it is a mixed bag that will be looked at by some as masterful and by others as a tragedy. Click over there to see what you think. As for The French Connection II, I have not watched it just yet, but hope to in the coming days.

Sex Drive (Unrated and Cream-Filled)
	Here we have Summit's 2008 comedy that was rather well received yet no one went to see it. I am not sure how the public decides what stupid comedy they are going to go see, but apparently something about this one turned them off.

The Haunting of Molly Hartley
	This one hit theaters in October 2008 to the tune of a 3% RottenTomatoes rating. I think it has something to do with exorcisms, but I just don't care enough to look it up.

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father
	People became enamored with this film upon its release and while I gave it a "B" review I was never able to muster up the heartfelt love so many had for it. I do know one thing, I would NEVER buy it considering this is a one time watch at best. Watching it again just means you are a glutton for punishment.
