The Wages of Fear (Criterion Collection)
If you have not read my review of Criterion's latest Blu-ray release you can do so right here, or you can just take my word for it and buy this one blind. If you enjoy thrillers then this one is for you, and on top of a thriller you are going to get oh so much more. This truly is one of the best films I have ever seen and is a film anyone that loves movies will absolutely enjoy. Worth every penny.

The Wrestler
This is the other must buy of the week and I also just posted my review right here. On top of being a top notch film, the making of documentary included on this release is fantastic.
Buy The Wrestler
X-Men Blu-ray Trilogy
X-Men / X2: X-Men United / X-Men: The Last Stand
Fox didn't send me these for review and while I would have loved to have taken a look at them, especially X-Men since I have only seen the first movie once, I can't say I am too sorry. Funny thing was how much people must really dislike the third movie as I had to search pretty deep into Amazon's list of DVDs and Blu-rays coming out today to find the single edition. The first two movies were up near the top with the complete trilogy.

Sin City: Unrated, Recut, and Extended
I also just reviewed this one, and I won't call it a must buy since this is not a film for everyone, whereas I think both Wages of Fear and The Wrestler can be enjoyed by any audience. However, one thing you will notice in my review of this disc is the top notch Blu-ray exclusive feature on the theatrical version of the film. Certainly worth a Netflix rent at the very least.

Frost/Nixon
Ah, the fourth and final release of the week that I recently reviewed and while I came down pretty harsh on the loose use of the facts in my review, the features on the Blu-ray version are quite impressive for those interested in what is fact and what was dramatic license as well as some impressive picture-in-picture extras that add a lot more to the viewing experience. However, I certainly would never recommend anyone buy this unless they absolutely felt it was a movie they would want to watch over and over again, it just doesn't have that rewatchability factor necessary to warrant a purchase.
Buy Frost/Nixon
Notorious
Here is your rental for the week when it comes to new movies. I actually enjoyed the last 75% of this film, following the horrendous opening moments. I'm not sure if it was the music or the story, but I really did get into this movie. Definitely worth a rent, but not a buy.
Buy Notorious
Caprica
I didn't realize this was actually going to become a television series. I thought "Caprica" was a one-time out movie and done, but it's just the start of something new. I received this over the weekend, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet as I dedicated six of my weekend hours to watching BBC's "State of Play" mini-series, which is much better than the filmed version, but both have their qualities.
Buy Caprica
Into the Blue 2: The Reef
See that girl in the bikini… Yeah, that's the only reason this movie was made. Enjoy!

I liked "Notorious" quite a bit, might purchase it when the price goes down.

Um I'm not really fond of buying box sets, more often then not I watch the movie once and I'm done w/ it, so although I like the X-Men series (yes, even number 3), I'm not gonna jump on that one (also goes for the Fast and Furious trilogy that came out a few weeks back).

At the very least though, I'll give Wages of War a rent, it sounds like a really entertaining film.
