Third 'Narnia' Finds a Release Date
It looks like it really is going to happen
I wonder if this will be the final stroke or if 20th Century Fox can pull a rabbit out of the hat as they announce the release date for the Disney-dumped The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is set for December 10, 2010.
Michael Apted is currently set to direct with all the regulars expected to return as Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.
Only a few days ago it was announced Michael Petroni had been brought aboard to write a new draft of the screenplay as it appeared the Richard LaGravanese draft had been scrapped.

Ummmm, the story is dull, a lot of fantasy movies already have almost the same plot. Hope the script will be great and michael apted knows what to bring on the screen.

@buddy: how can you call the story dull? Have you ever read "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"? Its a great story. Todays fantasy-driven films have all borrowed heavily from such original works as "The Lord of the Rings" & "The Chronicles of Narnia" (both of which have been around more than 50 years). Its the other way around.
I think as long as Apted sticks true to the source material and doesn't try to dumb it down for younger audiences, he will have a hit film.
