Theismann Gone from Monday Night Football
Not about movies but good news should be spread...
Okay, so this isn't a movie story, well any red-blooded American needs to know this bit of news as word has leaked out of Variety that Joe Theismann is set to be replaced by Ron Jaworski on "Monday Night Football"!! Yeah, now those of you that watch MNF religiously like me know this needed to be posted.
Theismann wasn't too bad when he was on ESPN's "Sunday Night Football," but the move to Monday and the pairing of Theismann and Tony Kornheiser just didn't work as Tony K had to spend most of the broadcast making fun of Joe's stupid statements.
Mike Tirico will still be in the booth with Kornheiser and Suzy Kolber and Michele Tafoya will stay on as sideline announcers.
The move was made for the obvious reason that Tony and Joe just didn't work together. Jaworski, or "Jaws" as Kornheiser refers to him on ESPN's popular kick-ass show "PTI," will be a perfect playmate for Kornheiser and will pretty much leave Tirico on his own to call the play-by-play.
However, ESPN will offer Theismann another role at the network as an NFL analyst.

Good news. Imagine Monday Night Football with sound.
Theismann always annoyed me but I thought he was actually pretty damn good on MNF…However…Jaws is a 10 X better pick and he and Kornheiser should be great together.
