'The Omen' Opens to 12.6 Mil
Not too shabby for a horrible movie
If you read my review of The Omen I hope you were not one of the many that decided to support this pile of trash, but nevertheless there still were quite a few of you that did as the pitiful remake/copy managed $12,633,666 at the box-office yesterday. Yeah, I have a feeling the numbers were fudged slightly to get that nice "666" number.
Fox is proud to announce that it is the largest Tuesday opening in motion picture history. Is this a significant number? Honestly, I can't find any figures regarding Tuesday openings, BoxOfficeMojo has the results for Tuesday on a whole, but not openings, but that is it. Considering Fox's press release didn't reveal the movies Omen beat out it leads me to believe the competition wasn't stiff.
