'The Crusaders' Make Way to New Line
Brown v. Board of Education Case Getting Film Treatment
We have all heard the story of the landmark May 17, 1954 Supreme Court decision in the case of Brown v. Board of Education at one time or another in our lives. The case went on to deny the legal basis for segregation in Kansas and 20 other states with segregated classrooms and would forever change race relations in the United States.
Well, that story is coming to the big screen as New Line has set "The West Wing" exec producer Alex Graves to helm the pic with Terrence Howard and Topher Grace in talks to co-star.
New Line bought John Romano's draft of the script. A previoius version of the script was penned by "West Wing" scribes Paul Redford and Lawrence O'Donnell based on Jack Greenberg's memoir "Crusaders in the Courts."
