Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich tweeted the above image giving us a POV shot of the Oscar Pixar took home after Toy Story 3 won for Best Animated Feature last night. It was a shot too good not to share.

He also posted the following picture featuring Oscar's ride home.

AWESOME PICTURE. Pixar is the best company in Hollywood. I wish they start doing live-action movies. They'll sweep those awards as well.

Pixar is amazing. Is it even possible for them to create a film anything less than great?

They're like Radiohead. Every time I buy a Radiohead album, I have a moment where I say to myself, "Maybe this is the one that will suck." But it never does. Much like Pixar's films.

I agree about the Pixar and Radiohead comparison, though I do believe The Tree of Limbs is Radiohead's Cars.

I loved these photos because they seem to be homages to the toy Story films (the first one from when the toys arrive at sunnyside, the second for when buzz is riding in the pizza planet truck). Its this attention to detail that makes Pixar great.

I do believe Cars 2 will surprise us. Pixar isn't one to make a movie without a good story- they scrapped Newt, right? Yes, Cars 2 may be the result of Cars being the most marketable Pixar film in terms of merchandise, but I don't see Pixar agreeing to the project unless they felt they had a story to tell.

…then this must mean that Dreamworks is equivalent to that of Muse.

okay we get it pixar is great and wonderful place filled with very talented individuals and everything to that effect! but was i the only one who thought the speech was too well rehearsed and sounded pompous given the fact that HTTYD was a much better animated fare… i especially disliked the part about " in record numbers" and "something human to say" i could almost hear a sweeping score in the background with the speech…where is the humility? fake though it maybe try to be humble!

I do not see pixar getting an oscar next year. I don't know why , but i feel like something better is going to come along than just cars 2, kung fu panda 2 , … is there any other sequel im missing :P ?

I can easily see Rango getting nominated. I hope Kungu Panda or Cars don't get nominated unless they are truly great. I hope the Academy finds something like Persepolis an doesn't just nominate three mainstream flicks.

You guys are forgetting about Happy Feet 2
